S N Æ F E L L S N E S

The Snæfellsnes peninsula stretches out west 100km into the Atlantic from the body of Iceland, with mountains running down the center and a plains on the south side, where this shot was taken. After climbing Esja, I have until midnight to make it to a reserved room at Arnarstapi, in the shadow of the dormant volcano Snæfell. The better weather on the south plain makes for less overcast views.
