The church on the hill in Akureyri sets off the sunlight at 1:30 a.m. The city isn't terribly far south of the Arctic Circle, and so in June, rather than setting, the sun mostly dips. It makes it easier to get home from the cinema after the last film, and lengthens the day for those who can stay awake that long.
