Windy but beautiful, the Breiðdalur area (like all the Eastfjörds) was carved out by rivers that often generate power for the villages that sit on the eastern coast. The only difficulty with some of the views in this area is that the road is too precarious to stop on; the view must be experienced in transit, fleetingly, like any number of life's pleasures.
