The Ring Road often has sheep and cattle wandering on it, which makes a challenge for speeding Icelanders. They make for an incentive to slow down, though, since farmers will file for -- and collect -- damages from a driver who kills or injures their stock. In a country whose diet is dominated by seafood, sheep are plentiful enough to make lamb one of Iceland's signature dishes.
