Road to the base of Mt. Esja

Moving closer to Mt. Esja after leaving Reykjavík provides no better view of the top, as a cloud system still creates a ceiling over most of Reykjanes peninsula. At just 918m (about 3,012 ft), it doesn't seem like it should be a difficult climb, but the weather and the winding way up (without the use of heavy gear) make it much more difficult.
